It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Shirley Jr. (Houston, Alabama), born in Headland, Alabama, who passed away on July 19, 2019, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Comer Shirley and Eunice Inez Owens Shirley; his wife Bobbette Blessman Shirley; his brother Marvette Shirley; his sister-in-law Sue Ivey Shirley; his sister Patsy Todd; his siblings-in-law, Robby Blessman and Ladania Adcox Blessman; his daughter Jennifer Shirley; and his brother Leonard Pharr (Sybil Corley Pharr).
He is survived by: his children, Luke Shirley (Angel Williams Shirley) of Dothan, Shaun Lingo (Nikki Carpenter Lingo) of Headland and Jessica Shirley of Williamsburg, Virginia; his sisters, Judy Clements of Webb, Alabama and Lynn Cobb (James) of Webb, Alabama; and his grandsons, Jacob and Cameron Shirley. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
