She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Vest and Beulah Vest; her husband Billy Joe Hood; and her sons, Billy Joe Hood Jr. and Jeremy Todd Hood.
She is survived by: her children, Kelly Lively (Michael), Tina Winkles (Bradley Cagle), Jamie Hood and Shelly Standridge (Jim); her grandchildren, Randy Hood (Kennith Smitherman), Shay Williams (DJ Helton), Nick Hood (Heather), Austin Winkles (Hannah), Amanda Winkles (Andrew Brown), Dylan Borden, Kade Hood (Arleigh Breedwell) and Markie Standridge; her great grandchildren, Corey, Chloe Lively, Weston, Raylan, Carolyne Hood, Gunner, Leigh Era Winkles and Avery Meigs; her sisters, Clara Jean Morris, Marie Daniel (Shirl) and Freda Hampton (Kevin); and her close friend Debra Sellers. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Moreland New Home Baptist Church (13222 Co Rd 63, Houston, AL 35572). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
