He was predeceased by: his father William Stanford; his daughter Melinda Rowell; his granddaughter Clover Fant; and his mother-in-law Ruby Bowman. He is survived by: his wife Carol Sims; his children, Chasity Stanford (Aaron Fant), Joseph Stanford (Hannah Smith) and Johnny "Bubba" Sims (Bre); his mother Beatrice Stanford; and his sisters, Angie Buchanan (Jerry), Cindy Martin (Mitchell), Amy Gamble and Hope Stanford. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
