He is survived by: his children, Brandy Nicole Elrod and Cody Elrod (Ashley); his grandchildren, Jorden Goodwin, Destinie Reneae Gilley, Nathan Cole Elrod, Kaylynn Marie Elrod and Dominic Alexander Elrod; his parents, Billy Eugene and Ramona Elrod (NeSmith); his sister Janice Greene; his niece Zara Greene (Randy); and his nephew Logan Greene (Amanda).
