With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Owen Birtley Sr. of Hope Hull, Alabama, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 12, 2020 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Thomas Owen Birtley Sr. to pay them a last tribute.

He is survived by: his wife Naomi Beers Birtley; his children, Thomas O. Birtley, Jr. (Staci) and Kimberly Brasington (Michael); his brother William Birtley; and his grandchildren, Amanda Birtley, Kaitlyn Barlow, Logan Brasington and Austin Brasington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
