She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmore Chance and Nellie Carter Chance; and her siblings, Carl Henry Chance, Woody Chance, Oscar Chance and Penny Stewart.
She is survived by: her husband James Knowles; her daughter Jenny Smith (William); her siblings, Charles "Pop" Chance and Shirley Ball (Billy); and her grandsons, Garrett Smith and Will Smith. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
