With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William Steed of Hoover, Alabama, born in Athens, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William left this world on March 30, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He is survived by: his wife Jean Moore Steed; his children, Benjamin Steed of Atlanta, GA and Holly Steed Waller (Michael) of Birmingham; his grandchildren, Leyton and Grey Waller; and also, Dr James Davies, Dr Stephen Bell, Dr Caroline Harada and Dr Marianthe.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens (2701 John Hawkins Pkwy, Hoover, AL 35244). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM and at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St Jude's or Shriners Hospital.
