He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Vandergriff and Alfred Leroy Roberson II; and his brother Alfred "Pat" Leroy Roberson. He is survived by: his wife Linda Sellari Roberson; his daughters, Danya O'Bannon (Don) and Kelly Wilson; his grandchildren, Megan Wise (David), Alex Wilson and Ty Wilson; his great grandchildren, William Wise and Daniel Wise; and his siblings, Susie Gillespie, Cheryl Follis (Ikie) and Rick Vandergriff (Kimberly). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be made to the University of Alabama Department of Pulmonary Medicine.
