He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Thompson; his children, Barton Emanuel (Nancy) of Manassas, Virginia, David Emanuel (Shannon) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Grace Ritter (George) of Birmingham, Alabama and Barbara Poe (Steven) of Birmingham, Alabama; his grandchildren, Marissa Emanuel, Thomas Emanuel, Andrew Emanuel, Jessica Bartlett, Ashlyn Poe Whiltey and Lauren Poe; his great grandchild Aiden Whitley; and his sisters, Pauline Matthews and Geraldine Mangrum.
