With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sandra Turner of Hoover, Alabama, born in Birmingham, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 10, 2024 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard; her parents, Lawrence Mauldin and Madelyne Mauldin; and her sister Jane Ann Carroll. She is survived by: her daughters, Laurie Goodloe (Bill), Karen Barrios (Camille) and Sandy Gann (Randy); her grandchildren, Jordan Sterley (Matt), Matthew Goodloe (Dana), Hayden Gann and Jamie Swiderski (Scott); her great grandchildren, Madden, Peyton, Sutton Sterley, Hadley and Parker Goodloe; her grandsons, Michael and Stephen Swiderski; and her sister Susan Mullican (Mac). She is also survived by her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Mark United Methodist Church (2901 Columbiana Rd, Vestavia Hills, AL 35216). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
