She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Wayne Murphy of Hoover, Alabama; her son Michael Kenneth Murphy; her daughter-in-law Kathryn Carden Murphy; her grandsons, Andrew and Sean of Hoover, Alabama; her son Dr. David Wayne Murphy; her sister Mary Elizabeth Smith; her cousins, Nell Wilks Farrar of Summerville, Georgia and Robert Bradley "Bob" Wilks of Birmingham, Alabama.; and also, Katherine Joy Murphy of Tampa, Florida, Dr. Wayne Smith of College Station, Amy Michelle Warren of Sugarland and Dr. Karen Smith-Cook of Houston.
