Patricia Hughes Sholund Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 24, 2021, at the age of 73, Patricia Hughes Sholund of Hoover, Alabama, born in Fayette, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Hughes and Allie Faye Lindsey Hughes; and her brothers, Franklin Hughes and Douglas Hughes. She is survived by: her husband Robert Paul Sholund; her children, Christon Sholund Segal (Brian) and Jennifer Leigh Sholund (Brian McCarthy); her grandsons, Andrew Jacob Segal, Jack Henry Segal and Zachary Sholund Brouillette; and her siblings, Floyd Hughes, Jr. (Faye) and Brenda. She is also survived by her four nephews and four nieces and their spouses and children.

In lieu of flowers, we ask family and friends to bring a flower or greenery from their garden to honor Pat's love of nature. Charitable memorial donations can be made for the dedication of a tree to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, 2612 Lane Park Road, Birmingham, AL 35223.
