With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nelda Silvers Edwards of Hoover, Alabama, born in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, who passed away on March 1, 2023 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, Corbit Lee Silvers and Ida Mae Cresawn Silvers; her husband Moyer B. Edwards; and her siblings, Jack Silvers (Grace), Merle Koester (Walt), Lena Campbell (Eddie) and Joyce Garrison (Paul).

She is survived by: her daughters, Jan Edwards Bryant (Rick) and Joyce Edwards Johnson (Steve); her grandchildren, Lauren Bryant (Adam Fritsch), Dr. Catherine Bryant, Carolyn Bryant Lopker (Mike) and Richard Edwards Bryant; her great grandchildren, Charlie and Nick Lopker; and her caregivers, Padetra Walker, Olivette Thompson and Martha Bishop.
