She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Sanders and Walter Sanders; and her siblings, Walter Sanders, Jr., Albert Sanders and Dorothy Reese.

She is survived by: her children, Mike Mitchell (Carla), Alan Mitchell, Tim Mitchell (Sallie), Mark Mitchell (Rose) and Susan Mitchell. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
