She was predeceased by: her parents, Lou Kaley Gillespie and Robert Clyde Gillespie of Warrior, AL.; her husband James Harvey Rimel, Jr.; her children, Nona E. Rimel, Nancy R. McLaughlin and James H. Rimel III; and her sister Bobbie G. Noah.
She is survived by: her sister Linda G. Mullins; her granddaughters, Kaley E. McLaughlin (Stephanie Hall), Emily M. Lavretta (John) and Mary M. Silvia; her great grandchildren, Natalie L., Brianne M. Silvia, Austin J. and Grant L. Lavretta; and her caregivers, Kathy, Dawn, Belle and Sheryl.
