She was predeceased by: her husband Robert K. Monroe. She is survived by: her children, Robert K. "Bo" Monroe (Jan) and Dana Monroe Burnes (Paul); and her grandchildren, Brooke Monroe Carruthers (Tom), Robert Burnes (Lisa) and Amy Burnes Machin (Martin). She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and one great great grand child.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to South Highland Presbyterian Church, Birmingham, Alabama or the Presbyterian Home for Children, Talladega, Alabama.
