He is survived by: his children, Carol Anne Yarbrough of Hoover and John "Kevin" Mathis (Debbie) of Morris, Alabama; his grandchildren, John Landon Mathis (Megan) and Elizabeth Sisson (Jonathan); his great grandchildren, Maelee-Jane Mathis and Mason Adam Mathis; and his sister Vickie Bouldin (Lynn) of Cookeville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
