She was predeceased by: her parents, John Albert and Mary Ruth; and her sister Joanne Okura. She is survived by: her brother Albert Henry Berst of Birmingham, AL. She is also survived by five nieces and a nephew; seven grand nieces and nephews; one great grandniece; five cousins; and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Riverchase UMC.
