James Larry Powell Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Larry Powell of Hoover, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 8, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Powell and Virginia Powell; and his siblings-in-law, Charlene Powell and Frank McGinnis. He is survived by: his wife Clarine Powell; his brothers, Lanier Powell (Gail) and Lynn Powell; his sister-in-law Gerri McGinnis; his stepmother Janell Powell; and his nieces and nephews, Griffin Powell, Dave Crenshaw (Amanda), Adam Crenshaw (Patra), Lance Powell (Meredith), Abby Dodson (Adam) and Lauren Powell.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association, 661 Friendship Road, Greenville, Alabama 36037.
