He was predeceased by: his parents, JD Brooks and Lora Bell Brooks; his brother Ralph Brooks; and his daughter Paula Cordes. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Brooks; his son Steven Brooks; his siblings, Jerald Brooks (Joyce) and Glenda Jenkins; his grandchildren, Amber Palmier (Gregg), Jaron Cordes (Jacqui), Sue Green (Shane) and Brandy Woodall (Zach); his great grandchildren, Matthew Palmier (Cynthia), Jessica Palmier (Ben), Kayla Palmier (Colby), Dylan Palmier, Ivory Nealey, Landon Green, Brad Green, Oliver Woodall and John Brooks Woodall; and his great great grandchildren, Marilyn Palmier and Alice Palmier.
