It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Inez Saia in Hoover, Alabama, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Claude Saia; her parents, Jake Pitts and Josephine Pitts; her son Paul A. Saia; and her siblings, Anthony Pitts and Angela Campisi.
She is survived by: her children, Joey Saia (Lisa) of Hoover, AL, Claudette Saia (Mike Waltz) of Charlotte, NC and Juliette Krovi (Krishna) of Boston, MA; her grandchildren, Justin Saia (Whitney), Brandy Horne, Jaclyn Dobbins (Chris), Samuel Saia, Nirvan Krovi, Gabrielle Saia and Arya Krovi; her great grandchildren, Braxton Saia, Rhoen Saia, Matthew Dobbins and Hope Inez Dobbins; and also Gail Saia of Auburn, AL. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews along with a host of friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church (2061 Patton Chapel Rd, Hoover, AL 35216). A Mass was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at the Elmwood Cemetery (600 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Birmingham, AL 35211).
