With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ida Joyce Speed of Hoover, Alabama, born in Collins, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 14, 2024 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her husband Larry Speed. She is survived by: her children, Margaret Battle (John), Laura Curtis (Joe) and Kendall Speed (Kim); and her grandchildren, Lauren Yancey (John), Sam Battle (Whitney), Kyndal Saunders (Andrew), Kelsey Curtis (Jim), Joseph Curtis (Anne Catharine), Keylan Speed, Dawson Speed and Alayna Speed. She is also survived by her eight great grandchildren.
