He was predeceased by: his mother Annie; his former wife Shirley Baker Bailey; his siblings, Margaret King Reach, E. E. "Bill" Bailey and James Dicky Bailey; and his granddaughter Bailey Savannah Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Jerri Inser Bailey; his son Robert H. "Bobby" Bailey (Maria); his stepson Ricky Pullen; his daughters, Cathy Cross (Perry) and Ann Nelson (Mark); his grandchildren, Shelby Phillips (Ryan), Ben Cross (Tanya), Samantha Thibodeaux (Landon), Dalton Nelson and Robert H. "Bo" Bailey, Jr. (Nicole); his great grandchildren, Cael and Carleigh Cross; his sisters-in-law, Judy B. Bewley (Adrian) and Dr. Norton M. Baker (Alene); and his sister Minnie Knox Matthews. He is also survived by 2 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren; brothers.
Due to Covid 19, there will be an intimate Family Celebration of Life at the Abbey Mausoleum on Thursday, August 20, 2020 with Rev. Reid Crotty officiating.
