He is survived by: his siblings, Katherine and Gene; his wife Faye Kelso; his children, Ricky Adkins Brady (Ezsma), Cindy Adkins Sumter, Kerry Adkins (Carol Adkins) and Scott Adkins (Tammy Adkins); his grandchildren, Gabriel Adkins, Tyler Brady, Bradley Sumter and Christian Kyser; and his great grandchildren, Brodie Kyser, Brianna Kyser, Piper Brady, Camden Ward and Sophia Sumter. He is also survived by friends, church members and neighbors.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens (2701 John Hawkins Pkwy, Hoover, AL 35244). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
