She was predeceased by: her parents, James McClellan and Eva Floyd; her spouse Artis Hugh Thornton; her siblings, Eula Wise and James McClellan; and also, James and Eva McClellan.
She is survived by: her children, Lynn Bailey and James Thornton (Elaine); and her grandchildren, Jason Bailey and Jennifer Bradley (Dan). She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
