She was predeceased by: her parents, William Everett and Fanny Q. Platt of East Texas; her sister Sue Green of Texas; and her husband Jerome Sullins of Alabama. She is survived by: her children, Pam Hudgens (Steve) of Springfield, VA and David Sumrall of Birmingham, AL; her niece Debbie Green; her nephews, Larry Green (Sharon) of Gilmer, Texas and Randy Green (Cathy) of Gilmer, Texas; and her granddaughters, Michelle Hudgens Lehmann (Jake) of Alexandria, VA, Laura Kaminski (Ben) of Fairfax, VA and Rachel Hudgens of Lorton, VA..

In lieu of flowers, Betty requested that donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org) or the Desmoid Tumor Research Foundation (dtrf.org).
