Plonka of Hoover, Alabama, born in DeKalb, Illinois, who passed away on September 14, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Vrieze and Helen Lang De Vrieze; and her husband Chester Plonka. She is survived by: her children, Steve (Marilyn Plonka) and Denise (Bill Carroll); her grandchildren, Clayton Carroll and Cassandra Carroll; her great grandchild Isbelle Hutnak; and her brothers, Ronald and Robert De Vrieze. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial donation in her name may be made to Goo Shepherd Catholic Church.
