He is survived by: his sons, Wendell Newton (Sandy) of Fayetteville, GA and Steve Newton (Brenda) of Luverne, AL; his grandchildren, Danny Newton (Kelley) of Marietta, GA, Jenny Newton of Fayetteville, GA, Ashley Newton Garrison (Adam) of Huntsville, AL, Maribeth Newton Boyd (Ben) of Lowndesboro, AL and Lorie Anne Newton of Luverne, AL; his brother Charles "Pete" Newton (Merle) of Greenville, AL; and his brothers-in-law, Douglas "Pete" Taylor of Greenville, AL and Mack Phelps of Honoraville, AL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
