He was predeceased by: his children, Rebekah Rouse and Brian Rouse; his parents, Lamont Rouse and Florine Broadus Rouse; and his siblings, Roderick "Roddie" Rouse and Donita Rouse Poothullil.
He is survived by: his wife Angela Moore Rouse; his children, Hope Lurie (Chad) and Andrea Rouse Brown; his grandchildren, Khollon Brown, Aislynn Brown, Alina Brown, Klay Brown, Harrison Lurie (Mattie), Ava Lurie and Cainon Rouse; his great grandchild Evalynn Lurie; and his sisters, Fonda Garriga (Bert) and Rena Smith (Lowery). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
