He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Tammany Lowe; his parents, Elbert Harris and Lessie Mae Sexton Harris; and his siblings, Jane Harris, Jimmy Harris, Wilson Harris, Gene Harris, Bonnie Posey and Kenneth "Bear" Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Grace Frazier Harris; his children, Edward Harris (Paula) and Mary Ryals (Adam); his grandchildren, Amanda Shirley, Bobby Fuller, Zach Defee and Keely Defee; and his brother Robert Harris. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
