With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert G Christiansen of Homewood, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 6, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Christiansen and Mitylene Christiansen of Homewood; and his brother Bill Christiansen of Vestavia Hills. He is survived by: his sons, Robert G. Christiansen, Jr. (Linda) of Villa Rica, GA and Mike Christiansen (Gail); his grandchildren, Cindy Christiansen Ferguson of Dothan, April Christiansen Rich (Justin) of Villa Rica, GA, Adam Christiansen (Hannah) of Vail, CO, Angelica Christiansen Gagliardi (Joey) of Carrollton, GA, Jessica Christiansen, Caroline Christiansen Stringer (Drew), Cam Ferguson and Mark Ferguson; his sister Jean Christiansen Freeman of Alabaster; and his nieces and nephews, Guy Freeman (Angie), Barry Freeman (Katie), Hoover, Jeff Freeman (Debbie), Lynn Christiansen Bell of Louisville, KY, MaryJean Christiansen Archer, Billy Christiansen of Nashville, TN and Bobby Christiansen (Carol). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery (600 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Birmingham, AL 35211).
