It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rita Linn Alderson of Homewood, Alabama, who passed away on March 4, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Linn and Annie Mary Linn; her husband Richard Alderson; and her siblings, Richard Linn, Mary Lind and Paula Pope.

She is survived by: her children, Vickie Battles, Ree Crocker (Mark), Jenny Gurley (Steve) and Richard Alderson (Lundi); and her sisters, Mittie McNally, Pat Doss and Theresa Kirnbauer. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to John Carroll Catholic High School.
