He was predeceased by: his parents, Saffold Andrew Minter and Margaret Calhoun Minter of Savannah, Georgia.; and his daughter Carole Frances Minter. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Coy Minter; his children, Hampton Debele Minter (Sharon), Frank Calhoun Minter, Jr. (Angela), Patricia Leighanne Minter Davis (Richard) and Margaret Ann Minter Bowen (Odell); his great grandchildren, Adalyn, Harper, Sebastian and Owen; and his stepgreat-granddaughters, Aleowyn and Sparrow.
In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest memorials to either Mountain Brook Presbyterian Church Foundation, Professor Frank C. Minter Endowed Scholarship Fund or the Citadel Foundation.
