He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E Brooks and Etta Jane Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Janie C. Brooks; his son Raymond Brooks; his siblings, Carl Brooks, Maxine Matthews and Marian Garner; his children, Derriel Brooks (Debra) and Mari Davis (Greg); and his grandchildren, Phillip Brooks (Michelle), Becky Hawkins (Derek), Jessica Watson (Bobby), Emily Adamson (Keith) and Ashley Booth (Micah). He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Mission Fund at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church or to AveAnna (Comfort Care Hospice).
