It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maggie Octavia Smith of Holly Pond, Alabama, born in Cullman, Alabama, who passed away on February 5, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Homer and Lola Belle Stisher Dodson; her husband Talmadge "Bud" Alton Smith; and her siblings, Winfred Dodson, Ralph Dodson, Montez Pylant, Audrey Harris and Jo McCowan.
She is survived by: her children, Mitch Smith (Sheila) and Heidi Walker (Ricky); her grandchildren, Kristen Walker (Trent), Hunter Walker (Jordan), Payden Smith (Caitlyn), Parker Smith (Abbie) and Isaac Smith; and her great grandchildren, Brooks Walker, John Beckett Walker and Elayne Smith. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
