She was predeceased by: her husband Earl Carnes; her parent Jessie Smith; her parent-in-law Mary Carnes; her grandchildren, Destiny NeSmith and Christopher NeSmith; and her sister Myra Smith Carnes of Hokes Bluff.
She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Maliyah, Lucas Applegate, Haylen Stanley (Watts), Maggie, Braxton Watts, Alex and Alissa Gembe; her brother Wayne "Bud"; and her sister-in-law Ann Smith Hokes Bluff.
