It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leo Douglas Baxter of Hokes Bluff, Alabama, who passed away on October 29, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Baxter and Johnnie Baxter; his sister Mary "Pat" Turner; and his close friend Richard "Rick" Dillard. He is survived by: his wife Debra; his children, Melissa Holbein, Rebecca Maddox (Ryan) and Leo (Ariel); his sisters, Millie Roberts (Ernie) and Esther Snow; and his grandchildren, Joshua, Elli, Nathan, Ethan, Lydia, Ada, Cade and Reid.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, friends and family can make a donation in Doug's memory to The Wounded Warrior Project.
