It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Imogene Slaughter Johnson of Hokes Bluff, Alabama, who passed away on October 19, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jerry A. Johnson; her daughter Ange Tidwell; and her parents, Johnie Slaughter and Katie Slaughter. She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Carnes (Jimmy), Pam Cherry (Hollis) and Emily Ammenhauser (Bob); her grandchildren, Jennifer Conaway, Katie Filipowski and Karter Johnson (Emily); her great grandchild Lucas Johnson; and her sister Barbara Parrish (Larry). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Crestwood Cemetery (2209 E Broad St, Gadsden, AL 35903).
