He was predeceased by: his parents, Felton Howington and Louise Howington; and his in-laws, Royce and Mae Brown. He is survived by: his wife Linda Howington; his children, Mike Howington (Donna), Tammy Howington Craft (Brandon) and Mark Howington (Jill); his grandchildren, Andrew Smith, Shane Howington (Kayla), Jake Smith (Danie), Garrett Howington, Morgan Howington and Lexie Craft; his great grandchildren, Dallie Smith, Finley Howington, Marlow Smith, Karson and Kazelyn; his sisters, Doris Brown, Joyce Elliott and Phyllis Galimore (Al); his brothers-in-law, Paul Brown (Deborah) and Tim Brown (Robyn); his close friends, A. B. Battles, Pam and Steven Wells; and his pet River. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Hokes Bluff Funeral Home (1901 Piedmont Cutoff, Gadsden, AL 35905). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
