He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Robertson and Verla Robertson; and his brothers, Sonny and Dale Robertson. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor "Cookie" Robertson; his children, Theresa Marie Robertson Benefield, George David Robertson (Marcie), Daniel Hugo Robertson and Stephen Michael Robertson (Cindy); his grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Macie Robertson, Grant, Elliot, Grace Benefield, Addie and Parker Robertson; his great grandchildren, Madi, Olivia, Asher and LilyAnn; and his siblings, Eloise Carroll, Evelyn Graham and Kenneth Robertson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or St. James Catholic School.
