He was predeceased by: his son Major Jeff "Oz" Ausborn; his parents, Gene Ausborn and Sadie Ausborn; and his sisters, Betty Rowland and JoAnn Wyatt.

He is survived by: his significant other Faye Ausborn; his grandchildren, Emily Ausborn, Eric Ausborn and Shelby Ausborn; and his children, Steve, Stanley and Florence. He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
