He is survived by: his wife Jo Sims; his children, Tim D. Sims (Linda) and Dawn Gregerson (David); his grandchildren, Mallory Stephens, Keegan Stephens, Reagan Elizabeth Sims, D. J. Gregerson, Lindsey Godlewski and Brigitte Vezertzis; and his siblings, Sam Sims, K. P. Sims, Duck Sims, Mack Sims, Rickey Sims, Catherine Page and Becky Sims. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
