It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Dutton of Hillsboro, Alabama, who passed away on January 7, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Gillespie and Gladys Gillespie; her sister Sandra Smith; and her siblings-in-law, Newt Filyaw, Jr., Ruel Dutton, Roy Dutton, Wendell Dutton, Dewey Dutton, Jimmy Westmoreland, Grady Roberts, Helen Jeanette Dutton and Mary Magdalene Roberts.
She is survived by: her husband Leon Dutton; her sons, Timothy Leon Dutton (Lynn) and Christopher Kelly Dutton (Debbie); her siblings, Lucille Sealy (Eddie), Jimmie Filyaw, Clara Terry (Benny), Martha Raper (Harvey), Janet Gillentine (Larry), Vickie Winchester (Anthony), Joe Gillespie (Elaine) and Phillip Gillespie (Becky); and her siblings-in-law, Frances Daphene Westmoreland, Dorothy Ruth Sandlin (Wendell), Clyde Smith, Winford Dutton (Betty) and Price Dutton (Linda). She is also survived by five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital in Mildred's memory.
