She is survived by: her husband Gilbert Barnes; her daughters, Stephanie Barnes Benson and Brandi Bauer (Jaime); her grandchildren, Christopher Chase Sapp, Thomas Clay Benson, Zachary Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Jayla Wilson Jordan Bauer (Lyric), Noah Bauer and Cain Bauer; her great grandchildren, Mikyla Benson and Evan Benson; her stepmother Shelby May; and her siblings, Jeffrey Bannister, Dale Peoples, Quention Peoples (Emma), Frankie Bannister, Frances Smith and Jennifer Butler.
