He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Bennett and Daisy Davis Bennett; and his siblings, Cecil Bennett, Ranelle Hillman and Mattie Bell Cowles.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Adams Bennett; his sons, Michael Bennett (Ann) and Adam Bennett (Jessica); his grandchildren, Michael Elvin Bennett Jr., Deedie Ann Bennett, Annah Grace Harris and Emily Hollinghead; and his sisters, Mary Rebel Benton and Ella Mae Frazier. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Pintlala Baptist Church Children's Playground, ℅ Pintlala Baptist Church, 73 Federal Road, Hope Hull, Alabama 36043.
