He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Hicks and Azure Griffith Hicks; and his siblings, Rosie Hicks and Greg Hicks. He is survived by: his children, Shelley Hicks Holland, Billie Jean, Hartline and Billy Ray Crawford; his great grandchild Harper Lee Ellis; his stepdaughter Tara Scott; and his sisters, Azure Ann Whitley and Janice Wooten (Don). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
