He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Whitley and Hazel Whitley; and his siblings, Junior Whitley, Johnnie Lee Whitley, Glen Whitley and Kathryn Vance.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie Whitley; his daughters, LaDonna and Jennifer Whitley; his grandchildren, Bailey Holcomb, Derek Alonzo (Maryeah) and Hannah Alonzo (Miguel); his great grandchildren, Jayden Bell, Aeris Alonzo, Laila Whitley, Sonder Alonzo, Lorenzo Andres and Nico Whitley; his siblings, Carol Sharpton, Douglas Whitley, Calvin Whitley (Beth), Charles Whitley, Helen Townson (Steve), Stanley Whitley (Lisa) and Marlene Buff (Michael); and his sisters-in-law, Frances Whitley and Rosalyn Whitley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home - Bryant (1474 AL-73, Bryant, AL 35958). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at the Higdon Cemetery.
