He is survived by: his father Wendell Dawson Sr.; his brothers, Cleve Dawson (Teresa) and Travis Dawson; his niece Addison Dawson (McKenzie Shipman Dawson); his aunt Donna Monroe; his cousins, Katie Lewis, Benjamin, Ayden, Chloe Lewis, Greg Crosslin, Grant Crosslin and Penny Dawson; and his great-aunt Vera Cisco.
