She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jennings and Jessie Nora Graham Brown; her husband Talmadge Bethune; and her sisters, Evelyn Hall, Edna Wilkins and Billie Sue Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Anita Miller and Aaron Bethune (Doris); her grandchildren, Misty Bethune (Thad), Coby Giles, Sy Giles (Jordan) and Chris Bethune (Heather); her stepgrandchildren, Blake Swaim (Megan) and Amanda Dukes; and her great grandchildren, Finley Giles, Huck Giles, Hunter Bethune, Kayson Swaim, Kenzley Swaim, Ashlan Strickland and Emma Strickland.
