He is survived by: his wife Shirley Buttram Hemphill; his children, Sheila Prestwood (Frankie), James Rickey Hemphill (Darlene), Nicole Hemphill (John Nash) and Gerald Dyar; his grandchildren, Adam Hemphill (Brittney), Justin Hemphill (Lindsey), Keyarra Young, J. R. Prestwood (Sam), Hannah Harris (Mavrick Ginn), Braxton Nash, Kenny Dyar and Danielle Dyar; his great grandchildren, Willow, Hadley, Taytum, Case, Avery and Kylee; and his sister Joyce Huskey (R. B.). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
